The late 19th Century was somewhat of a golden age for sacred architecture.  One could find towering monuments to faith rising over the corn or wheat fields in the most apparently insignificant townsOne is now less likely to find such stately structures in the newer neighborhoods or suburbs of seemingly more sophisticated or prosperous cities.   What will follow: is a few examples of the ., principally German neo-gothic churches that can be found through out the rural Midwest
